People, pets or objects should be the obvious focus of the frame. Tightly cropped portraits beat distant group shots every time.
Daylight, soft window light, or bright indoor light works best. Avoid harsh shadows across faces or extreme backlight.
Busy backgrounds compete with the subject. A plain wall, a garden or open sky lets the line art breathe.
Modern phone photos are fine. If a picture looks fuzzy on your screen it'll look fuzzy on the page too — so dig out the original, not a WhatsApp re-share.
Heavy Instagram filters, beauty smoothing or AI enhancements can confuse the converter. Stick to unfiltered or lightly edited originals.
