Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the PicBooks website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Our Service

PicBooks provides a service that converts customer-supplied photographs into black-and-white line art for the purpose of creating personalised printed colouring books. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Photo Uploads & Content

By uploading photos to our service you confirm that:

• You own the photos or have full rights to use them
• The photos do not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• The photos do not contain illegal, offensive, defamatory, or obscene content
• You are not uploading photos of individuals without their consent (or in the case of minors, without parental/guardian consent)

We reserve the right to refuse to process any images that we deem inappropriate, illegal, or in violation of these terms, without refund.

4. Photos of Children

We understand that many of our customers wish to create colouring books featuring photos of children. We support this use of our service, subject to the following conditions:

• You must be the parent or legal guardian of any child featured in uploaded photos, or have obtained explicit written consent from the child's parent or legal guardian
• By uploading images of minors, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right and authority to share those images with us
• Photos of children will only be used to fulfil your specific order and will be permanently deleted within 30 days of fulfilment
• We will never use images of children for marketing, advertising, AI training, or any other secondary purpose
• We comply with UK GDPR and all applicable child protection legislation
• If we have reason to believe that consent has not been obtained, we reserve the right to cancel the order immediately

5. Orders & Payment

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is required in full at the time of ordering. We accept major debit and credit cards. All payments are processed securely via our payment provider.

6. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days of order confirmation, with free UK delivery typically arriving within 2–3 working days of dispatch. Delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers or circumstances outside our control. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery.

7. Returns & Refunds

As our colouring books are personalised products made to your specific order, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However:

• If your book arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it free of charge
• If there is a printing error on our part, we will reprint and redeliver at no cost
• Refund or replacement requests must be made within 14 days of delivery
• Please email hello@picbooks.co.uk with photos of any issue

8. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading photos you grant PicBooks a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and print your images solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. This licence expires upon deletion of your images. The PicBooks brand, logo, and website design are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PicBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our service. Our total liability shall not exceed the value of your order.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
